Located in the epicenter of Lower Manhattan’s vibrant New Downtown, old world glamour meets modern luxury at The Beekman. Nestled between East and Hudson Rivers, the hotel is surrounded by some of Manhattan’s most cherished attractions, including the Brooklyn Bridge, One World Trade, the Seaport Districit/Pier 17, Brookfield Place, and many more.
Originally, the site played host to many significant milestones including New York City's debut of Shakespeare's Hamlet and the famed Clinton Hall where writers such as Edgar Allan Poe honed their craft. Passionately restored to its former glory, the historic landmark building exudes elegance and charm. Award-winning designer Martin Brudnizki enhances a meld of classic and contemporary elements with a rare combination of destination dining spots, sumptuous lounges, hidden cozy corners, and attentive staff eager to exceed your expectations.
The Beekman boasts a world-class dining experience, featuring award-winning chefs Tom Colicchio and Daniel Boulud. Colicchio’s Temple Court and our famous Bar Room reflects on the cultural and culinary history of lower Manhattan to serve a menu of quintessential New York City dishes. These outlets are sure to surprise, indulge, and nourish you.
Chef Daniel Boulud introduces Le Gratin, a Bouchon Lyonnais located in The Beekman. Inspired by his hometown of Lyon, France, Chef Daniel Boulud's casual dining experience is influenced by the notable bouchons and bistros of Lyon. The menu will feature classic French dishes and Lyonnais specialties. Iconic French dishes to share will rotate monthly while highlighting local purveyors.
Laissez Faire (new) is a high-end, bespoke cocktail lounge located on the cellar level at The Beekman. With a curated beverage program designed by Alex Smith and culinary offerings composed by renowned Chef Tom Colicchio, the lounge is meant to evoke what its founders describe as “The Future of Old New York.”
