Torel Avantgarde is part of Virtuoso’s exclusive Regional Program for Latin America & Caribbean
Its history connects with the origin of this space , which dates back to the Estado Novo period, in the 1940s, when “creation” in its broadest sense was the order of the day. Art would no longer be a complement and would become the focus of all attention. The rupture of pre-established models, defending anti-traditional forms of art and new frontiers of experimentalism, would inspire the artists of this generation, marking an era of artistic excellence.
Inspired by this era, Torel Avantgarde welcomes us as a museum experience in full harmony with the comfort and detail characteristic of Torel Boutiques.
It was through the combination of the talent of prestigious artists, artisans and interior designers , all of them Portuguese , that this beautiful work of art came to life.
Jorge Curval, Isabel Sá Nogueira, Frederico Draw, Daniel Eime and Paulo Neves brought their artistic souls together to shape this vibrant place , which quickly became known as the best luxury boutique hotel in Porto.
